Crop health tracking with Cropwise Satellite Images Service

Multi-source satellite images service

Cropwise Satellite Image Services enables you to receive regular satellite imagery to monitor in-field changes in near real-time. The service merges data from multiple sources, calibrates it to a single standard, and integrates it into a unified data flow.

TRACK IN-FIELD CHANGES with satellite images

Track in-field crop health with regular visual and NDVI satellite images. Use the data to develop your own crop health metrics, algorithms, and agronomic models.

Field scan data

Monitor the progress of crops and gain valuable insights into crop performance on specific field zones.

Near real-time satellite images

Fresh imagery is sent to Cropwise as quickly as it becomes available to boost decision-making.

Calibrated data

Images are processed to ensure the best possible view and calibrated to allow comparison between different days and times.

Multi-sensor data

Access to a complementary set of data from different satellite systems for more consistent coverage and quality.

HOW IT CAN HELP

Make informed decisions and enhance field management with proactive insights.

Crop health monitoring

Compare visual and NDVI images across different dates to track crop health changes, detect anomalies, and generate actionable insights.

Use satellite images to create VRA maps

Apply satellite images as great source of data for field zoning, creation of management zones and VRA maps.

Research and development

Use satellite images to observe crop development, measure the impact on field conditions and crop productivity.

KEY CHARACTERISTICS

The highest resolution imagery anywhere at any scale, from entire fields to a single plant.

Resolution

Our visual and NDVI imagery comes from the Sentinel, Landsat, and MODIS satellite constellations, with spatial resolutions ranging from 10 to 250 meters. When using other Cropwise services, you can also integrate Planet imagery at 3-meter resolution, as well as drone imagery, into the same data flow.

Frequency

Low-resolution imagery from the MODIS satellite constellation is available at a frequency of two images per day. Sentinel and Landsat provide between three to five images per week, while integrated Planet imagery can deliver daily updates. Note that not all images are usable for analysis due to cloud cover.

Cloud mask

All images include a cloud mask, allowing you to set an acceptable level of cloud coverage and use only high-quality data in your analysis.

Dataset

Get timely visual and NDVI updates within 24 hours of release, plus access to up to 10 years of historical satellite data, depending on the source.
